I could not stand that Alex “won” that one. He was just so focused on impressing that girl and getting her to “like” him that he ended up getting the best evaluation, when because of his intentions he did not deserve it.
Throughout the episode, Arizona asks Mark for help to win Callie back. It’s a weird kind of help that is more like finding all that’s wrong with her instead of giving her actual advise. But hey, whatever works right? It seems to almost work, but we’ll get back to that later!
But, to the central issues that happened in this past episode:
Meredith and Derek: Meredith is furiously trying to get pregnant. Through the episode she took 11, that’s right 11 pregnancy tests. Honey, no matter how many times you take it in one day, the odds are against you after two tests. During her day of worry, she is also paired with a horrible intern. This girl blamed Meredith for her incompetence. That really was a low point in the episode because that was the last thing she needed to be dealing with.
Teddy and Henry: Teddy is faced with making a very big medical decision for Henry … one that she is not very comfortable with. However, as Henry later explains, she is the only one that can make the decision. With his family either dead or in a foreign country and the fact that he has had to move around a lot only leaves one possible person to be his health care proxy – her. With that explanation she really couldn’t stay mad at him. Hopefully this is just another wall of Teddy’s that Henry has inadvertently broken down to soon lead to what I hope to be a relationship.
Callie and Arizona (/Mark?): Callie for most of the episode pushes Arizona away with all her might. And after rejection after rejection, Arizona still tries one last time. And that’s when Callie tells her she’s pregnant … with Mark’s baby. 1) Arizona didn’t really want kids to begin with but she was slowly warming up to having one – eventually. 2) With Mark! That’s even bigger. For one, I don’t want it messing up Mark and Lexi’s relationship. We all remember what happened last time a baby was involved. Mark went kind of crazy. And then I feel that this is going to mess up Arizona’s chances of getting back with Callie. I can’t even make a guess as to how this will all work out.
Bailey and the nurse: Yes! Bailey is finally with a man! I did want her to get back with the anesthesiologist, but I’m good with this little nurse man, whatever his name actually is. I think he’s just the dirty fella she needs in her life. Don’t you think? Bailey is one of, if not the best character on Grey’s Anatomy, so she deserves more than just a little love in her heart.
Meredith and Callie: This is one of my own concoctions. I’m wondering how Meredith, who currently cannot get pregnant, will handle finding out that two people who aren’t in love like she and Derek are managed to get pregnant. This latest twist that the writers threw in is not my favorite. However, I’m hoping it will all work out.
