The Robert H. Jackson Center is hosting a “Ladies’ Night Out” fundraising event on the evening of Thursday, May 19, 2011. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Jackson Center and support future educational programming and exhibits. The event, “Gondolas and Glamour,” will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. with gourmet hors’ d’oeuvres and a reception in the Jackson Center’s historic Kent mansion. At 7:00 p.m., two lucky ladies will be chosen from the audience to be make-over volunteers before the lights go dark and the opening music from “Charade” dramatically opens the Fashion Show, featuring over seventy-five summer ensembles by Skillman’s of Bemus Point. The drama will be heightened by the high-fashion hairstyles and make-up artistry of Jaret Strickland and Jennifer Knorr from Indulge Salon and Spa in Lakewood. After the fashion show’s finale, the make-overs will be revealed and the excitement will culminate with the announcement of raffle prizes including a Vera Bradley luggage set from Skillman’s, an Indulge Salon gift certificate, Murano glass jewelry from Carlson’s Jewelers, a Galt designer handbag and, finally, the “Grand Prize” of a free trip to Venice, Italy—a once in a lifetime experience for a lucky winner.
Seating is limited and advanced reservations are required; RSVP in advance by stopping by the Jackson Center with payment (305 E.
