First Annual Routes to Art Holiday Sale Scheduled for December 4th
The Cattaraugus County Arts Council announces the first annual Routes to Art Holiday Sale on December 4th from 10am- 5pm at the new Seneca Administration Building in Salamanca, NY.
The Holiday Sale is a new addition to Routes to Art; a self-guided open studio trail and winner of the 2009 Tourism of Excellence Award in Cultural Heritage from the New York State Travel & Vacation Association.
For the first time this year, artists participating in Routes to Art (RTA), will convene at the Seneca Administrations in Salamanca, NY for a one-day sale of original artwork. RTA Holiday Sale will be a shopper’s best chance to buy unique, personal and artistic holiday gifts. Visitors can choose from original artwork, prints, pottery and many cash and carry items will also be available. Participating artists include Deb Eck, Karen Fitzpatrick, Elliott Hutten, Penelope Minner, Kristina McLeod, Sean Huntington, Dug Stein, Nance Jackson, Anne Conroy-Baiter, Barbara Fox, Mike Weishan, Judson Brown, Adrian John, Dawn Lombardi, Judy Schindler, Julie Mader, Rose Nuszkowski, Michelle Hoff, Dee Smith, Kristina McLeod and many more.
Routes to Art, now in its fourth year, is designed to promote the collective arts community while advancing cultural tourism throughout the 2,000 square miles of the predominantly rural Cattaraugus County region. Taking place on May 21-22, 2011, more than 40 artist studios will open to the public, including at least 15 artists from the Seneca Nation.
