Due Date will be everything you're expecting and more.

If you liked Old School and The Hangover, you'll like this comedy as well. The only difference: By the end, Due Date becomes more than an hour and a half of cheap laughs. Due Date has a point.

The film stars Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, an unlikely but stellar combination. Downey plays Peter Highman, a first-time father on his way home to LA and his expectant wife's side for a scheduled C-section. Galifianakis plays Ethan Tremblay, an aspiring actor also on his way to LA toting his bulldog Sonny, cheesy head shots and a coffee can filled with his father's cremated remains.

After a mishap at the airport Peter has to hitch a ride with Ethan, and the duo starts to make its way cross-country in a road trip that will ultimately bring them closer than they or you would have imagined.

Though you'll definitely be laughing most of the time, Downey and Galifianakis actually connect with the audience. Peter, abandoned as a child by his own father, struggles with his anger before he finally lets his softer side shine through. Ethan, loved as a child, struggles with loneliness and making a place for himself in a world that now seems too big to handle. You'll see parts of yourself in the characters on the big screen.

By the end of the movie, Peter, Ethan and even you will come to realize the true importance of family or even a good friend.

Though it offers a good life lesson, Due Date won't be appropriate for all ages. It's been rated R for a reason, and I would suggest parents watch it before they take their kids.
