The Barenaked Ladies Rock Out at the Seneca Allegany Casino

The Barenaked Ladies played at the Seneca Allegany Casino Event Center on November 28, 2010 to a wide range of fans of all ages.

The band put on a great show that started at 7 p.m. and lasted a little over an hour. Fans of old and young came out, and the show while rated PG-13 was a great family environment.

The concert was fast paced and upbeat the entire night as the band played hits from their upcoming album, “All in Good Time” and hits from the past like “If I had a $1,000,000,” “One Week” “Brian Wilson,” “It’s All Been Done,” and even the theme song for the T.V. show “The Big Bang Theory.”

The band even poked fun of the casino with their “Thunder Mountain Buffet” song, and encouraged concert goers to get up and dance to their favorite songs, which is against casino rules. Many fans were quick to take them up on it. The band's comedy was a great part of their performance, and no topic was off limits.

The variety of instruments used during the Barenaked Ladies concert is also worth mentioning. A full drum set, several guitars, tambourine, keyboard synthesizer, piano, accordion, cello and banjo were all played throughout the night.

It was clear after the first song that the band loved getting to perform. Their ability to tackle complicated vocals and lyrics really showed their talent as musicians and as entertainers. The crowd really fed off the bands energy and the encore solidified their great performance.

I was a fan before this concert and afterward even more. I learned some of my favorite songs were by the Barenaked Ladies, and I recommend this band to anyone. They are sure to put on a great show. If you’re interested in learning more about the band check out their website www.barenakedladies.com
